Launching our series with deaf participants, caregivers, and experts discussing mental health awareness.

The first webinar in the MindSigns series focused on the importance of addressing mental health within the deaf community. The session featured firsthand experiences from deaf participants and caregivers, along with insights from a sign language interpreter who is also a caregiver.

The discussion was led by Professor Kamal Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Clinical Psychologist & Professor at the Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Afroja Mukta, a sign language interpreter. Dr. Tasdik Hasan moderated the session.
